I’m Ben, a one-man handyman business based in Newquay, Cornwall. I cover general home repairs, garden building construction, custom furniture, flooring, landscaping and pretty much anything that needs fixing, fitting or building properly. No job is too small, and no idea is too out of the ordinary. If you’ve got something unusual in mind, I genuinely enjoy the challenge of figuring out how to build it.

Who I Work With

A good chunk of my work comes from people who simply don’t have the time, tools or inclination to take a job on themselves. Some clients are elderly and just want someone trustworthy to call who won’t talk over their heads or charge them for things they don’t need. Others are busy families who’d rather spend their Saturday with the kids than up a ladder clearing gutters. And some are perfectly capable but have zero interest in DIY, which is completely fair. Not everyone wants to spend their weekend hand-sanding a fence.

Whoever I’m working for, the approach is the same: turn up when I say I will, explain what needs doing in plain English, and leave the job tidy. I’d rather lose a bit of profit being upfront about a job than oversell something someone doesn’t need.

Garden building is where I spend a lot of my time and where I probably enjoy myself most. Whether it’s a flat-pack shed that needs an extra pair of hands or a fully insulated garden room built from scratch, it’s the kind of project I look forward to.
